Mark your calendars, request the day off or prepare your excuse to call out, Mercer X Summit Block Party is happening on Saturday August 18th. With the first sets of the day beginning at 1:30 p.m. and running into late night dance parties, the free day of music transforms a Seattle Saturday into one of the most quintessential days of the summer.
Focusing on the plethora of local talent the city continues to offer, all artists playing have strong Seattle roots. You may find yourself coming out to support your favorite local band, but don’t be surprised when you find you’ve been bouncing around the cross streets of Mercer and Summit for hours. The lineup expertly breaks free of the boundaries of any single genre, instead offering a holistic spread of some of the best talent in the city. From psych-rock to alternative hip hop, post-punk to indie pop, Mercer X Summit Block Party provides a full-body immersive experience, compacted into one blissful day.
